My Version of Psalm 95
Some days I wake up happy,
Knowing that life is good,
This morning I want to thank God,
And share this goodness with my friends.
He is so good to me,
He is in control of the world,
Every part of it,
Even the bits that I think I control.
The only right response is to follow Him,
To put him in his right place,
We need to trust that he will care for us.
.
All we need to do is to tune our ears to his words,
To have soft hearts that want to be truly happy,
To allow God to be in control,
And, not believe arrogantly
that we can make God our plaything,
He is not someone to follow when we feel like it.
God’s way is very simple,
Keep a soft heart to his voice,
Be obedient to HIm,
Then peace will come in our relationship with God,
These things will give our restless souls a home forever.
