My delight

May 5, 2018 by Chris Gribble

Mark 1:11 (Passion) 11 At the same time, a voice spoke from heaven, saying:

“You are my Son, my cherished one,
and my greatest delight is in you!”

My delight

Gazing through the leafy sky
A space found to lie down and look up
Still and waiting
Yesterday slowly peeling away,
Tomorrow being pushed back to now,
Now, a gentler space,
Awake but not fully,
Conscious but dozing
Peace slowly landing
Today is doing her work
Tomorrow will come soon enough
Now, I listen to what today says to me
As I look beyond the trees into the sky
I wonder did I see it part just a little
Was it an echo I heard?
Here is my child, now, My beloved.

Joining spirit and action; soul and work; heart and calling

Today I am going to start …

Today I am going to start living
As only I can live,
I am going to walk in the bush
Listen lovingly to friends,
Take time to hear the birds sing
Love my wife
Be present for my children,
And, wonder at this precious gift
Of life and dreams and time,
Just today, is all I have,
Today I am going to live.
