My life is completely turned around,
I see the opportunity in the path ahead,
My God is my guide for every crossroad reached,
Each step turns into a joyful skip,
That can’t contain its eager anticipation,
Of what is in store for my precious life.
No more grasping for selfish status for me,
I fear God more than the pettiness of demigods,
Small minded bureaucrats that don’t know grace,
Seeking to raise their own sense of worth,
Thinking that they hold the power,
When it’s really just the cards that life dealt,
Instead of thanking God they think it’s their effort,
Truth knows where greatness comes from,
Who it belongs to and what is its purpose,
My prayers will shout out that it’s God,
Open your eyes you stupid fools,
Instead of arrogance you should be trembling,
Stop and listen to the voice of Creation,
Know that Truth is coming and it will come soon,
Life will be measured by faithfulness to God,
Not by the self attribution of earthly success.
Complete surrender is the only way to safety,
Everything must be turned over to God,
There is only one way that has many choices,
The choice that matters is who I worship,
I will put aside every small minded goal,
Instead seeking the path that makes God happy,
I know that the day is coming when I am tested,
Faithfulness receiving its undeserved reward,
Praise will be my final thankful word to God,
Joining with the faithful souls who love truth.
