Psalm Seventy – Latest Version

October 10, 2018 by Admin

My cry for help touched heaven’s heart,
But, first I needed to learn about grace,
To know that salvation’s message,
Is for the tired worn out soul,
Who has felt the pain of rejection,
The loss of a much loved friend,
My sad lament of what is missed,
Wholeness is my yearned for desire,
Yet remains an elusive hope.

Devastation from rejection’s harsh words,
Found their home in shame’s black abyss,
They are my dear enemy’s daily reminder,
Of truth that is obvious to honest eyes,
Salvation’s message is clearly heard,
Unmistakeable in declaring God’s greatness,
Comforting my impoverished soul,
All my pain is held and understood,
By the one who knows my hidden secrets,
Safe in the arms of heaven’s comforter,
Life is transformed by restoring love.

Joining spirit and action; soul and work; heart and calling

Today I am going to start …

Today I am going to start living
As only I can live,
I am going to walk in the bush
Listen lovingly to friends,
Take time to hear the birds sing
Love my wife
Be present for my children,
And, wonder at this precious gift
Of life and dreams and time,
Just today, is all I have,
Today I am going to live.
